About us The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) is the leading membership organisation for training, accrediting, and representing psychiatrists across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. About the Role This is a fixed-term, part-time position (0.8 FTE) covering a maternity leave from 1 July 2025 to 31 August 2026. In this role, you will coordinate, develop, and deliver a range of RANZCP conferences each year, providing a comprehensive in-house conference management service for designated events. Depending on the event, you may also work in collaboration with Professional Conference Organisers (PCOs). Key responsibilities include: Delivering end-to-end management of allocated conferences, in collaboration with relevant local organising and scientific program committees. This includes budgeting, venue selection, program development, marketing, registration, speaker coordination, conference materials (including apps), accommodation, social functions, sponsorship, exhibitions, and post-event evaluation. Designing conference programs in partnership with committees to support members’ continuing professional development. Managing and maintaining online systems for registrations, abstract submissions and reviews, certification, and event reporting.
For a full list of responsibilities please refer to the position description. What You'll Bring - A minimum of three years’ demonstrated experience in conference and events coordination, including fiscal and sponsorship outcomes.
- A good knowledge of the events industry, events related software and the role / operations of PCOs.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable.
- High level of understanding and skills in using relevant computer applications including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, spreadsheets and experience in database software.
- Background in membership or nonprofit organisations is advantageous, as is an interest in contributing to improvements in mental healthcare.
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or the right to work in Australia.
- Successful candidates must complete and pass a National Police Check before commencing employment.
Some of What’s on Offer: - Salary range from $65,363-$81,755 TRP pro-rata per annum inclusive of superannuation and leave loading.
