Project Manager, Specialist Training Program

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) is the principal organisation representing the medical specialty of Psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand. We currently have an opportunity for Project Manager Specialist Training Program (STP).

 

This position is required to effectively manage, initiate, plan, implement and review STP support projects. Working closely with the Senior Department Manager – Financial Services this position provides management and leadership to the team leader, project and administrative staff working on RANZCP STP support projects. In addition the Project Manager works closely with the Contracts Manager to deliver funding agreement activities and outcomes in relation to STP training posts.

 

Specific duties include, but are not limited to, preparing and managing allocated project budgets, monitor and manage timelines, milestones and key contractual deliverables for all projects and provide project status reports, ensure the preparation of progress (and final) reports and financial statements in a way that demonstrates effective and prudent management of the financial and human resources allocated and in alignment with contractual obligations.

 

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience in working with health services from a range of settings (public,       private, community etc)
  • Experience in liaising with and reporting to Government departments
  • Experience within a membership organisation or the not for profit sector will be an advantage
  • Project management skills
  • Experience managing project teams and facilitating collaborative team environments
  • Ability to adapt information and communication style to suit the needs of different audiences
  • Evaluation and reporting experience
  • High level written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to adhere to strict timelines
  • Proficient computer skills; advanced experience with Microsoft packages
  • Willingness to work some weekends and travel
