Contracts Manager

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), the principal organisation representing the medical specialty of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking a Contracts Manager to join the Finance and Commercial Contracts team.


The position is responsible for the administration of all College agreements, including commercial, government, lease and licencing agreements as well as the College’s insurance requirements and policies. A significant accountability of the position is to manage and administer the College’s funding agreement with the Commonwealth Government for the Specialist Training Program (STP), the Tasmania Project and the IRTP STP project which involves the coordination of all contract and associated activities relating to the management and administration of training posts funded under the Program. The incumbent will work collaboratively with key Managers and Officers of the College, and is the primary point of communication between STP participants and the College


The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a contracts/commerce/law field are desirable
  • Proven financial and legal acumen
  • Ability and willingness to do daily administration tasks as required
  • In excess of 3 years of proven contract management/administration, procurement or paralegal experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Experience in dealing with Government departments although not essential will be considered beneficial
  • Demonstrated financial reporting experience
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills
  • Proficient computer skills; advanced experience with Microsoft packages, and relevant financial and reporting applications
  • Team orientated attitude to achieving results
  • Self-motivated and action-oriented, thinks conceptually and operationally.
