Executive Support Officer, RANZCP Board

 The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), the principal organisation representing the medical specialty of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking an Executive Support Officer, RANZCP Board, to join the Office of the President and Chief Executive Officer (OPCEO) Department.

 

In line with the RANZCP strategic priorities, the Executive Support Officer, RANZCP Board, will provide high level administrative support to the RANZCP Board, acting as the main conduit and contact for any and all Board related matters.

 

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills as well as detailed minute taking.
  • Experience in a wide range of administrative tasks, including arranging meetings and events, liaising with varied catering companies, meeting venues and hotels.
  • High-level time management, budget and planning skills with the ability to work to tight time lines.
  • Sound judgement, professionalism, positive demeanour, and ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Availability to work and travel outside of normal business hours to attend RANZCP Board and other meetings as required.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ strong administrative experience working with, and a solid understanding of, Committees and/or Boards.
  • Understanding of and/or experience in corporate governance and membership/not for profit organisations.
  • Strong attention to detail, agility and flexibility, can do attitude, and pride in undertaking all aspects of the role.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications and databases.
  • Ability to take responsibility for effective planning and support of multi-disciplined and inter-related workgroups.
  • Confidence and comfortability in dealing with all senior executives, committee members, and external executives and managers.
  • Initiative and the ability to undertake work with limited supervision and prioritise workload to meet changing demands.
