The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), the principal organisation representing the medical specialty of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking a Training Trajectory Coordinator to join its team within the Education Department.


This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team, coordinate and provide a range of quality administrative services in relation to the RANZCP Fellowship Regulations, in particular supporting trainees, Directors of Training and the Committee for Training through the targeted learning and show cause (the process where a trainee must make a written application for consideration to continue as a trainee in the RANZCP Fellowship program)


The successful candidate will have relevant tertiary qualification/s and be able to demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience in an education or health administrative setting.
  • Willingness and ability to develop an expert understanding of Fellowship regulations, policies and procedures and capacity to implement these policies.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office software packages and particularly MS Excel
  • Experience and strong interest in analysing complex data at a detailed level and ability to produce report extracts in order to report on exceptions.
  • Excellent organisational skills including the ability to manage numerous tasks concurrently, establish priorities and to work to tight or competing deadlines.
  • Ability to develop, implement and review procedures.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the ability to liaise and work with individuals and groups with different perspectives.
  • Ability to establish and maintain sensitive communications, and handle difficult conversations, with trainees and other stakeholders.
  • Genuine commitment to providing high quality customer service.
  • Proven ability to work as a member of a team and carry out duties with limited supervision
  • Understanding of membership organisations and experience working with professional members is desirable
