The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), the principal organisation representing the medical speciality of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking a Project Officer to join its team within the Education Department.


The successful candidate will have relevant tertiary qualification/s and be able to demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably Business or Information Technology related
  •  Proven experience in eliciting and managing business requirements
  •  Proven experience in capturing and documenting business processes
  •  Exceptional analysis, planning, organisational and time management skills
  •  Demonstrated ability to manage numerous tasks concurrently, show and use initiative, establish priorities and work to tight or competing deadlines
  • Proven capacity for innovative and strategic thinking in educational technology settings
  • Demonstrated ability to self-manage time and resources efficiently and to deliver solutions on time and to specification
  •  Established capacity to work collaboratively and cooperatively as a team member and to undertake work independently and with supervision
  •  Experience in administering and supporting online systems
  • Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including evidence of clear and concise writing for a variety of audiences
  •  Ability to develop and maintain productive, effective working relationships with stakeholders
  • Excellent information literacy with demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Understanding of medical education and mental health environments
  • Willingness to travel interstate or to New Zealand and ability to attend occasional meetings at weekends or evenings

This position would ideally suit someone with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role and looking to take the next step in their Business/IT career.
