The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) is the principal organisation representing the medical specialty of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant, within the Education Department.

 

This position is responsible for:

  • This position is responsible for the provision and coordination of administrative support for the RANZCP Specialist International Medical Graduate Education (SIMGE) program and is part of the Education and Training Division.

  • Maintaining high level and accurate record management and data base administration;
  • Administration of SIMGE Applications in line with the policies and guidelines;
  • Providing timely and accurate information and advice regarding assessment and pathways to clients and agencies.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • Relevant qualifications in administration and/ or demonstrated experience in tertiary administration or education
  • Excellent time management skills including the ability to plan, set priorities and to meet deadlines, with flexibility to alter priorities to meet changing
  • Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders and produce briefing papers as necessary.
  • Ability to build relationships, work collaboratively and consultatively within a small team environment, with other College staff, Senior Officers of the College, Fellows, Chairs of relevant committees and working parties, and external
  • Demonstrated capacity to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office software packages and a working understanding of databases and website administration. Previous experience in iMIS database is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to think creatively and offer input into the administrative operations of the Specialist IMG
  • Demonstrated high level of initiative and a commitment to providing quality customer
  • Sound attention to
  • Self-motivated, action oriented, thinks conceptually and
  • Understanding of/ and or experience in a membership organisation is
  • Understanding of State and Commonwealth Regulations/Legislation and overseas qualifications is desirable.
  • Experience in meeting / event co-ordination is
  • Experience in agenda preparation and minute taking is
  • Ability to prioritise and understand urgencies and identify matters that require escalation and resolution.
