The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) is the principal organisation representing the medical specialty of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand. We are seeking to appoint an Accreditation and CPD Coordinator within the Education & Training Department.

 

This position is responsible for providing timely and accurate advice and information relating to accreditation and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) matters to key stakeholders. The person will also be responsible for coordinating and providing support to the Accreditation Committee (AC), Committee for Continuing Professional Development (CCPD) and any relevant working groups.

 

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

    • Experience with CPD programs or membership organisations,learning and/or accreditation programs.
    • Experience in the management of high level and complex committees, including the preparation of meeting papers, writing of minutes and correspondence, and the follow-up of action items.
    • Experience in the successful delivery of projects and project management and project methodology.
    • Ability to develop, implement and review operating procedures.
    • Relevant tertiary qualification in administration or education or health and/or appropriate experience in an education, training or health services environment.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and liaise effectively with a range of staff, including senior executives, relevant committees and working parties, the community, carers and consumers and outside agencies involved in mental health.
    • Excellent organisational skills including the ability to manage numerous tasks concurrently, establish priorities and to work to tight or competing deadlines.
    • Solid experience in working with individuals and groups with different perspectives and competing interests in a complex and multi-faceted environment.
    • Understanding of accreditation standards and processes.
    • Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
    • Understanding of membership organisations and experience working with professional members is desirable.
