The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), the principal organisation representing the medical specialty of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking an Examination Support Officer to join its team within the Education Department.

 

This is an exciting full time, fixed term opportunity for a Maternity leave cover to provide administrative support to the RANZCP Examinations team in particular for the conduct, marking and reporting of Scholarly Project and Psychotherapy Written Case assessments.

 

The position will also contribute to education development of the Department, improvement of processes and any other Department and Examination related initiatives as required.Duties include, but are not limited to, the provision of information and advice to stakeholders regarding examination processes, administrative support to relevant committees and the examinations team, meeting/events coordination, data entry, filing, relief reception duties, database and website content administration.

 

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Relevant qualifications in administration and/or demonstrated experience in an administrative and/or education and/or membership environment
  • Excellent time management skills including the ability to plan, set priorities and to meet deadlines, with flexibility to alter priorities to meet changing demands
  • Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders
  • Proficient computer skills, experience with MS Office programs including Excel, and a sound understanding of databases is essential
  • Ability to think creatively and offer input into the administrative operations of the Clinical Examinations team
  • High level of initiative and attention to detail
  • Genuine commitment to providing high quality customer service and ability to build relationships, work collaboratively and consultatively within a small team environment, with other College staff, Senior Officers of the College, Fellows, Chairs of relevant committees and working parties, and external agencies
  • Ideally meeting and/or event experience, preferably in a membership education environment, and ability to travel interstate to assist in the coordination of the Examinations and/or attend workshops or Committee meetings.
