The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), the principal organisation representing the medical speciality of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking an Administrative Officer to join our Education and Training Department.
The Administrative officer will provide administrative support to the Specialist International Medical Graduate Education (SIMGE) team. Duties include, but are not limited to, provision of high-level administrative support, administration of application and interviews, document control, coordination of candidate assessments, and provision of high-quality information and advice to internal and external stakeholders.
This role has specific focus to:
Provide clear and accurate advice and information related to all Specialist IMG processes and the Specialist Pathway to applicants, candidates any other parties seeking advice or information.
Provide efficient and accurate processing of applications, arrange interviews, and communicate outcomes in relation to specialist assessment, Area of Need, and Specialist pathways (Substantial and Partial Comparability).
Coordination of workplace-based assessments (case-based discussions and multi-source feedback).
Tracking of candidate’s progression on the Fellowship program and assistance in progressing the award of the qualification.
Support the planning of meetings relating to Specialist International Medical Graduate Education, including agenda and documentation preparation, and attend meetings to take minutes and action outcomes.
Assist with developing and reviewing policies and procedures and undertake reviews of standard operating procedures to contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative operations within the department.

Proven ability to work as a member of a team and carry out duties autonomously.
Excellent time management, attention to detail, and organisational skills, including planning, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines with the flexibility to alter priorities to meet changing demands.
Genuine commitment to providing high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Well-developed written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders from varying backgrounds and cultures.
Ability to think creatively and contribute effectively in a team environment.
Interest in continually improving systems and processes.
Willingness and flexibility to travel interstate to assist in the coordination of the examinations and/or attend workshops or committee meetings.
