The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), the principal organisation representing the medical speciality of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking to appoint an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) to join the Education & Training Department.


Reporting to the Manager Assessments, this role will responsible for the oversight, development, supervision, and administration of the RANZCP OSCEs.


This is a key role that works closely with Examination committees, and the examinations team. The role acts as a primary liaison and advisor to examiners, candidates, and other examinations participants.


This role has a specific focus on:

  • Advise stakeholders on examination development and processes.
  • Provide support to and management of relevant committees, team members, and the Manager.
  • High-quality administration of the examinations (OSCEs).
  • Stakeholder liaison and collaboration including Fellows, committee members, steering groups, project managers, colleagues, and Managers.
  • Development and implementation of Assessment Regulations, policies and standard operations procedures, as well as quality improvement relating to exams.
  • Overseeing examination question development processes including Question Bank and management of relevant databases.

 The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • Sound background in an education environment or examinations/assessment or student administration.
  • Understanding of and/or experience in a membership organisation.
  • Experience in the administrative operations and/or assessment functions in a tertiary / education environment.
  • Well-developed written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent computer skills using MS Office programs including Excel, and a sound understanding of databases.
  • Ability and genuine commitment to high quality customer service and sound and professional stakeholder relationships
