The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) is the principal organisation representing the medical specialty of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Officer, to join our dynamic Specialist Training Program (STP) team.
This position supports the Contracts and Projects Officer, in the administration of expression of interests (EOI), contracts and progress reports with Health Services according to the contracted schedule of these initiatives.
This role has a specific focus to:
Provide administrative support for the successful delivery of the STP, MVPTP and PWP.
Assist with the development of process and actions to enable the review of STP posts to be undertaken.
Work with governments and health services to ensure project milestones are met as scheduled.
Preparation of meeting papers for the Australian Government Funded Training Programs (AGFTP) Committee.
Liaise with College staff and departments.
Set up, maintain and improve general office management systems, to support project requirements, including; filing systems, standard operating procedures and databases.
Electronic and hard copy (where appropriate) filing of general correspondence, reports, contracts, financial records, papers, and other confidential materials.
Provide administrative support to the Projects Manager, Contracts Manager and Project Officers as required.
The successful candidate will have:
Experience in an administrative role.
Well-developed written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders.
Excellent computer skills using MS Office programs including Excel, and a sound understanding of databases.
Proven ability to work as a member of a team and carry out duties autonomously.
Excellent time management and organisational skills including the ability to plan, set priorities and to meet deadlines with flexibility to alter priorities to meet changing demands.
Genuine commitment to providing high quality customer service and developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to think creatively and contribute effectively in a team environment. Interest in continually improving systems and processes.
