The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), the principal organisation representing the medical speciality of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking a Committee Administration Officer to join our Education & Training Department. This role is responsible for the executive support and administration of various committees in Education, specifically in Assessment. This role will be responsible to: - Provide high-level executive support to designated committees and working groups, to meet the required assessment and training deliverables.
- Prepare and coordinate high-quality level meeting agendas, minutes, follow up and monitor progress on any actions and recommendations arising from the meetings in consultation with relevant stakeholders and staff.
- Work with committee chairs, College staff to set the meeting agendas and ensure the distribution of all meeting and supporting papers, minutes as required.
- Respond to member and candidates’ inquiries and issues.
The successful candidate will have: - Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to articulate ideas to diverse audiences, and sound ability to develop briefing papers and reports.
- Demonstrated relationship/stakeholder management experience, and a commitment to high-quality customer service and ‘think outside the box’.
- Exceptional attention to detail, and strong experience in administrative systems and committee administration and management of meetings.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills including the ability to show initiative and take responsibility and ownership of the role.
- Excellent time management with the ability to plan, organise, set priorities, and meet competing deadlines, with flexibility to alter priorities to meet changing demands and expectations.
- Capacity to work both independently with minimal supervision, and collaboratively within a team, and escalate issues as required, with the ability to identify potential risks.
