The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), the principal organisation representing the medical speciality of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking an Education Projects Officer, Certificate Training to join the Education and Training Department. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Training, Development and Assessment this position will provide high-level project coordination for the submission of the sub-specialty applications and work closely with relevant staff and Fellows in the development of project plans, progress reports, project governance, training requirements, and support the advancement of the project, and its deliverables. This role has a specific focus to: Develop and implement project plans and outcomes in consultation with the Senior Manager, Training Development and Assessment and stakeholders. Lead the development of the Certificate of Advanced Training program and governance structures. Develop presentations and briefing papers for relevant Committees, Working Party/Groups and Board in relation to project developments in consultation with the relevant stakeholders. Development of a communication strategies for each project. Support relevant working groups with meetings scheduling, agenda setting, minute taking and follow up of agreed actions for implementation, in close liaison with the Chair and/or Manager(s). In liaison with relevant stakeholders, conduct evaluation activities and progress audit to determine if the project is on time and meeting its objectives, and establish quality improvements activities as demonstrated from the project evaluation and feedback. In close consultation with the Manager, responsible for monitoring the agreed project activities, budget review and forecasting, ensuring sound project budget management.
The successful candidate will have: Strong stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative, harmonious and consultative manner of communication. Excellent organisational and planning skills. Excellent oral and written communications. Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in training and development, education, healthcare, or research background. Demonstrated experience in education related project administration, with excellent skills in planning, analysis, project implementation, evaluation and reporting. Experience or strong understanding of training and development or post-graduate curriculum with an exposure to contemporary education practices. Knowledge or understanding of medical post-graduate education, regulatory agencies and/or Australasian health system context is highly desirable.
