We are seeking a highly motivated Administrative Officer to provide essential support to our Specialist International Medical Graduate Education (SIMGE) team.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Provide efficient administrative support for the SIMGE program, ensuring professionalism and timeliness.
  • Offer clear and accurate guidance on specialist processes and pathways to applicants, candidates, and other parties seeking information.
  • Manage the processing of applications, interview arrangements, and communication of outcomes.
  • Support the planning of meetings related to Specialist International Medical Graduate Education, including preparation of agendas, documentation, and the meticulous recording of minutes and action items.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of administrative operations by assisting in the development and review of policies, procedures, and standard operating processes.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant qualification in administration or education (desirable).
  • Experience in an education setting, particularly in roles related to student administration or membership (desirable).
  • Proficiency in agenda preparation, minute-taking, and action item execution.
  • Knowledge of workplace-based assessment tools within a medical context is highly regarded.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
  • Capacity to gain a deep understanding of State and Commonwealth regulations and legislation pertaining to overseas medical specialists.
