The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), the principal organisation representing the medical specialty of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand is seeking a Manager of Australian Branches to join the Bi-National Offices & Partnerships Department. This role manages the operational needs and service delivery for the Australian Branches of RANZCP. Key responsibilities: - Supervise and provide leadership for the Administration Officers and Branch Coordinators reporting to this role (x7 direct reports).
- Work closely with the Executive Manager, Bi-national Offices and Partnerships to ensure an integrated approach in meeting the needs of Australian Branch committees, and College members located in each jurisdiction.
- Collaborate with the Manager NSW Branch Office and the Manager Tu Te Akaaka Roa – The New Zealand National Office to facilitate an integrated and consistent approach to service delivery for Bi-National offices.
- Facilitate connection between Australian Branches and the Bi-national College with the aim of enhancing service delivery and support.
- Support Australian Branch committees in the development of work plans and support the Branch Chairs’ Forum and oversee the administration for quarterly meetings.
- Oversee the development of committee communications, including communiques, newsletters, bulk e-mails, website content, and other publications.
- Prepare briefing papers and reports to support committees’ involvement with the Members’ Advisory Council and the RANZCP Board.
- In collaboration with governance staff, coordinate committee election processes and maintenance of procedures and processes for selection, appointment, induction, and ongoing support for community member participation.
- Pro-actively identify, report on, and manage emerging issues and risks.
- Ensure maintenance and workplace safety of Australian Branch office premises, escalating issues in accordance with College policies and guidelines.
The successful candidate will have: - Proven ability to successfully lead and manage staff in a small team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the proven ability to produce documentation to a publication level.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel interstate and overseas and undertake weekend and out-of-hours work as required.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or minimum three (3) years management experience preferably in a membership, health or not for profit environment.
- Experience in operational planning, project management and risk management and budgeting.
- Experience working with multiple inter-related committees to achieve operational and strategic objectives highly desirable.
