The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) is the principal organisation representing the medical specialty of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand. A leader in the mental health sector, the College works to prepare medical specialists in the field of psychiatry, support and enhance clinical practice, advocate for people affected by mental illness and advise governments on mental health care. 

 

Position overview

You will deliver a high level of customer service and administrative support to the New Zealand office with minimal supervision, ensuring the fulfilment of RANZCP members' needs. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing secretariat and administrative support for Tu Te Akaaka Roa (New Zealand national committee) and where required, other local College groups.
  • Schedule meetings, preparing and distributing meeting agendas, minutes, correspondence, and other documentation.
  • Monitor and progressing action items in accordance with College policies, guidelines and performance indicators.
  • Assist in coordinating day-to-day operations of the New Zealand office.
  • Attend and assist in the running of local events and meetings as required including organising venues and catering.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualifications and/or equivalent minimum two (2) years of experience in administration roles.

  • Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders.

  • Excellent computer skills using MS Office programs including Excel, and a sound understanding of databases.

  • Demonstrated capacity to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team and/or working remotely. 

  • Eligibility Requirement: Applicants must be either an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen.
