The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) serves as the primary organisation representing the psychiatry medical specialty in Australia and New Zealand. The role 

We are seeking a dynamic Education Project Officer to join our Education & Training team. You will be responsible for project oversight, development of quality improvement and project management support, to ensure timely project objectives and deliverables.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project outcomes in collaboration with relevant Managers and stakeholders.
  • Support project committees overseeing projects and coordinate with Chairs to ensure quality improvement, planning, and project development.
  • Conduct data gathering and analysis as necessary for designated projects.
  • Prepare written advice, presentations, and briefing papers for the relevant Board, Committee, and Working Party/Group meetings on project progress.
  • Develop communication or consultation strategies for projects, with the ability to prioritise and advise on changes or risks.
  • Assist in scheduling meetings, setting agendas, and developing constructive meeting minutes for relevant working groups/committees, in consultation with the Chair and Managers.
  • Produce regular internal reports and project updates, along with briefing papers for stakeholders, outlining project progress, risks, budget management, planning, and activities.

This crucial project management role aims to develop strategies and responses that align with the directives of the Australian Medical Council (AMC). The role is responsible for comprehensive project management stakeholder collaboration – Fellows and staff involved in the delivery of the project. To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Proven experience in project management with a proactive and collaborative approach, and the ability to develop project plan and stakeholder consultation strategies
  • An understanding of training program and curriculum development would be an advantage in making this role successful
  • Strong commitment to high quality service and exceeding the expectations and requirements of projects delivery
  • Proficiency in risk management to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks
  • Sound experience or ability to develop project briefs, progress reports and undertake benchmarking activities
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or background in training, education, healthcare, or research and project management
  • Understanding of post-graduate medical education, regulatory agencies, and/or the Australasian health system context is advantageous
  • Eligibility: Australian citizen, permanent resident, or New Zealand citizen
