  • Salary range from $68,000-$88,000 inclusive of Super and Leave Loading.

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) serves as the primary organisation representing the psychiatry medical specialty in Australia and New Zealand. Our mission focuses on training, educating, and advocating for psychiatrists in both countries, with a vision for excellence and equity in mental healthcare provision. 

 

The role 

The RANZCP has received funding from the Australian Government for the:

  • Specialist Training Program (STP)
  • Military and Veterans' Psychiatry Training Program (MVPTP)
  • Psychiatry Workforce Program (PWP)
  • Flexible Approach to Training in Expanded Settings (FATES).

This position is responsible for the administration of contracts and reports with secondary funding agreements with Health Services according to the contracted schedule/s of the initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Contracts Manager to oversee secondary funding agreements with health services for psychiatry training posts.
  • Coordinate reporting from health services, including template preparation, information dissemination, and document processing.
  • Foster positive relationships with health services, offering guidance on contractual and program needs.
  • Analyse training post data to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and upload data to Government portal.
  • Maintain online post directories with Administrative Officer.
  • Administer Change of Post forms and Private Infrastructure and Clinical Supervision (PICS) allowance.
  • Handle Rural Sector Loading allowance administration and reporting.
  • Drive project outcomes through coordination, research, analysis, and evaluation.
  • Reconcile payments with Project Accountant and assist with training post budgets and forecasts.
  • Aid in preparing internal and external reports for College Committees, Board, and Government.
  • Collaborate with College Committees, Branches, Directors of Training, and other stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Commitment to providing high quality service and is dedicated to meet/exceed the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in contracts, commerce, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience liaising and reporting with Governments and health services. Relevant experience in administering contracts and reporting.
  • Demonstrated financial reporting experience.
  • Experience working in or an understanding of the Australian / New Zealand health system(s) is desirable.
  • Eligibility Requirement: Applicants must be either an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen.
